Findlay Marine was established as a Marine Consultancy and Surveying organisation in May 2006. At the moment, the company is Stephen Findlay. In other words, there is presently one employee! However, that may alter as time goes on and is obviously dependant upon the volume of instructions received, and also the type of instruction received. In my previous companies, in the role of Partner and Director, in addition to providing the services of expert Marine Engineers, I strived to provide clients with a multitude of disciplines, including Master Mariners, Cargo experts, Naval Architects and Metallurgists. I may endeavour to develop the company in much the same way as my previous companies, but at the moment the company in its present form is Stephen Findlay, Marine Engineering Consultant and Surveyor.

Findlay Marine provide expert engineering consultancy to P&I clubs, ship owners, charterers, hull and machinery underwriters, cargo underwriters and law firms. I am instructed on a variety of case including Main Engine and Auxiliary Engine damage, rudder and propeller damage, machinery and system failure, groundings, collisions, bunker quality disputes and speed and consumption disputes.
